The word “mantra” (“man” meaning mind, and “tra” meaning transport) has become quite mainstream these days – but what is a mantra?
Basically, it’s the act of repeating a positive phrase over a period of time, with the understanding that the words we say and/or can greatly influence what we believe and how we act.
There have been numerous amounts of famous people who have credited their success to a daily mantra. For instance, Steve Jobs would wake up every morning and ask: “If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?”
So to help you stay motivated and continue to chase all of your dreams, in light of all the uncertainty taking place in the world around us, the official Summit Mantra for August is:
“We Didn’t Come This Far to Only Come This Far!”
We love this mantra as it’s a great reminder of how far we have come as a company and as a team.
We encourage you to write it on a sticky note, stick it up somewhere you will see it often, and say it out loud at least once a day. This simple practice will remind you of all the successes that both you and Summit Team have had, and you’ll be ready to tackle the day!
